Lebanese Design New York Bound

7 November 2019 - 7 January 2020

82 Franklin Street

R & Company announces Lebanese Design New York Bound, a collaborative design exhibition with House of Today taking place November 7, 2019 through January 7, 2020 at the gallery’s 82 Franklin Street location. The exhibition pairs contemporary American and Lebanese designers to create a series of collaborative designs. On view are two tables, one designed by Carlo & Mary Lynn Massoud and The Haas Brothers and another by Sayar & Garibeh and Katie Stout.

For this exhibition House of Today asked each of the participating designers to put forward their own unique aesthetic and truest expression of themselves when designing the concept of a table. Tables that not only serve a function or purpose, but that trigger emotions and elevate the senses through a journey of sensorial experiences of their own design.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with House of Today. We are longtime fans of the program and admire their mission of promoting and supporting Lebanese designers. The idea for this project to place together American and Lebanese artists is a great opportunity to merge together two different cultures. We are excited to have our artists The Haas Brothers and Katie Stout create unique works that explore new concepts.” said Evan Snyderman, co-founder of R & Company.

The two tables debuted at the 2018 Biennale and will be on view for the first time in the United States at R & Company gallery.
