Collective Design Fair

4-8 May 2016

R & Company is pleased to announce its participation in the 2016 Collective Design Fair with a curated group exhibition of international designers. The works on view demonstrate some of the most important historical works represented by the gallery, as well as a first look at objects from sought after contemporary designers.

Highlights include a rare and important hand-carved table by iconic American designer Wendell Castle; a selection of masterwork seating by Brazilian designers Joaquim Tenreiro, Lina Bo Bardi, and Sergio Rodriques; an extraordinary Jeff Zimmerman illuminated crystal cluster; a collection of ceramic Accretions in custom glazes by The Haas Brothers; over a dozen never before seen sculptural glass vessels by Thaddeus Wolfe; and a limited-edition hand-woven rug by David Wiseman produced in Nepal for a special collaboration with R & Company and Amini of Milan.

In addition, to coincide with Rogan Gregory’s first solo exhibition at R & Company May 2-June 23, a selection of his sculptural bronze objects are presented at Collective. The booth will also feature an extraordinary wood lounge chair by Jose Zanine, whose work is shown at the gallery concurrently with Rogan Gregory and who is — along with Joaquim Tenreiro, Lino Bo Bardi, and Sergio Rodriques — featured in the recently released book, Brazil Modern: The Rediscovery of Twentieth Century Brazilian Furniture, co-published by R & Company and The Monacelli Press.

On Thursday, May 5th from 4:30-5:30pm at R & Company’s Collective Booth A1, Zesty Meyers will be present for a book signing of Brazil Modern: The Rediscovery of Twentieth Century Brazilian Furniture.
