The Black Edition
In the years between 1968 and 1973, renowned American designer and artist-craftsman Wendell Castle challenged conventions with a daring but short-lived exploration of hot-hued plastic furniture for home and office. Executed from the original molds not used since the early 1970s, the Black Edition re-introduces some of the artist's most radical plastic designs from this period of inspired departure. Produced in collaboration with R 20th Century, the signed limited edition includes four designs.

Lamp Edition
In the 1970 exhibition "Sculpted Furniture Forms" at the Lee Nordness Gallery on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, Wendell Castle presented eight fiberglass reinforced plastic forms that also functioned as lamps -- whimsical, bulging, sexy sculptures bearing names of pop culture celebrities and cartoon characters. R 20th Century is pleased to announce the production of five of these now-coveted designs. Consistent with Castle's original intent, the lamps are being made in limited quantities of only eight of each design.
